From classic womens’ and mens haircuts, completely natural or totally outrageous color, highlights, balyage, hair straightening and blow drys, Melissa does it all and delivers fantastic results every time.

A former actress with numerous film, stage, and commercial credits, Melissa developed a passion for hair styling and color during long days and nights of filming. Following her theatrical career, Melissa dove completely into her life's new direction and completed the full 1600 hour cosmetology course at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica, California.

Recognized as a unique and talented hair stylist, Melissa was quickly snapped up by a trendy local salon in Santa Monica, where she worked for several years building an enthusiastic clientele. Melissa relocated back to her birthplace in the San Francisco Bay Area for a few years, and as life and times have moved forward, moved to Seattle in November 2013. She now has opened her salon in a beautiful seaside town called Port Townsend, across the water from Seattle. She named it 'Wash House Salon'. 

Melissa's foremost goal with her clients is a wonderful and easy experience, and that they are happy with their hair on a day-to-day basis.

She really is passionate about animal and human rights , and renewal and sustainable beauty developed from nature. The products she uses and believes in both have their special stories that will compel you to re-think what most people are using.
